Oh my god, I can't believe it. I am in EUROPE, home to the world's most notorious soccer fanatics. And here, in a tiny little village in Germany where the funeral bells ring at least four times a week, life is pretty easy going.

I can't quite remember the last time I sat around for days on end attempting to occupy my time with nothing else really to do. Our house is practically empty, as we wait for our stuff to arrive. The entire place echoes. *whistles*

Good news is, I've been cranking out a ridiculous amount of artwork. And about 99% of them are in color. I think I went on a color withdrawal for far too long and this is what happens. I start hallucinating and I can't stop reaching for the nearest coloring utensil. A lot of it is orange. I can't get enough orange.

Bad news is...I don't have a scanner. We just got the Internet up and running, but it's not wireless, so I am somewhat permanently chained to my hallway or the bathroom (which is where I currently am now). It's spacious though, which is nice.

However, first shipment is supposed to come in about a month from now, so do not lose heart! You shall get your fill of artwork, I swear by daily cup of coffee on it! (Yes, I do drink a cup of coffee everyday now. Starbucks bold espresso with half a cup of milk and three things of Equal. Crossing nine time zones is a bitch to the brain and I need to stop taking afternoon naps and get my clock reset, dammit.)

But Germany is very nice. Small with a nice hometown feel. And there are about four - five? - barns in the area, so you sometimes get that nice manure smell if you're upwind. Whoo.

Moving sucks, but you settle in quite nicely. It's just a matter of being patient and taking it slow. They really do emphasize that point a lot; there isn't a single 24 hour store here. There might be in Frankfurt, but not here. Subliminal message reads: take it slow and enjoy your life.

And holy hell, there is a frikkin' HUGE spider sitting right outside my bathroom window in the window well. (I live in the basement currently, but am being moved to the top floor this weekend.) Oh holy god. *freaks* Hate spiders. Hate hate hate hate hate HATE.

I think the best thing I love about Germany are the windows. Why don't we have windows like these in America? Probably because we're so squeamish about bugs. I still am, but these windows are simply AWESOME. When I get my home built, I want to order German windows. They're just too cool.

Still working on the German language. All this provincial stuff is kind of confusing. I can hardly string a sentence together properly.

And I've finally GRADUATED, hallelujah! Bachelors of Arts and Sciences, English! Wheet! And I didn't just walk down the ramp from the stage to go back to my seat; I DANCED. (And wore white pants too. With that black gown? There was no way I was going to bake myself in that sudden sun.)

School doesn't start 'til August, so there's some time left. *yawn*

But yeah, just letting you know that I'm not dead. I shall be sure to keep in touch. Ciao!
